Tangents are bountiful and connections with people are priority.
A journey through life's wondering trail of ups and downs. Along with some detailed learning opportunities along the way.
Please join myself, friends and family, as we share stories from our journey to hopefully better yours.
No family, or relationship with anyone, or anything is perfect. We want to say that you are not alone in your struggle.

My name is Jake, I am 31, married, have a 6 month old, 2 dogs, and a house with a large shop in the back yard.
I am "a jack of all trades" as some would say. I have many hobbies and they all cost too much money. I definitely jump off the deep end when I do... anything.
Hobbies include but not limited to:
performance cars
jeeps
racing
offroading
driving anything on 4 wheels (not real good with 2 wheels)
home repair
tools
fitness
food
health
runnning
learning
BBQ
heavy equipment
questioning everything

Ryan Rainey: Lots of life experience at a young age

Ryan Rainey: Lots of life experience at a young age

My cousin Ryan joins me today for the first episode in my garage "Loft Lounge". Ryan is a bright young mind with tons of potential and a great outlook on life. I have spent a fair bit of time with him over the last 12 months and it has been great to see his maturity keep up with his growth spurt. (I did indeed look up how to spell "spurt")
Thanks Ryan for sitting with me, the future is yours to do what you want with.

    Uncle Jay: Succeeding Through Life

Time flew for me in this one and there is still more to talk about. Hopefully Uncle Jay will have time to sit and talk more about of his current life and raising a family. Thank you for taking the time to sit with me through my conversation with another of my great family members. I hope yopu enjoyed the war stories, fatherhood, and work struggle in this episode.

How to keep on keeping on, with my Grandma.

How to keep on keeping on, with my Grandma.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. Grandma had a few edits she wanted to post: She married at 19 and had her first child (my Mom) about one year later and her second child less than a year after the first! Also, my great grandma was married at 15 and had 8 children!
Grandma I can't thank you enough for spending time with me, without you there would be no me. I love you.

    Talking Kegels with my sister???

    Talking Kegels with my sister???

I join my younger sister Claire in her Floridian home. The conversation covers many topics: from growing up together, family traits, personalities, life experiences, fights and much more. This was probably the first long conversation I have ever had with Claire and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to doing it again in the future.

Claire is a 27 year old veterinarian who graduated vet school from Mizzou. She is married to Mike, "pole vault" Vani, and they ARE CAT PEOPLE, so look out.

How high did I jump ? My first time pole vaulting, with Mike Vani

How high did I jump ? My first time pole vaulting, with Mike Vani

This is a good listen people. I learned to pole vault in an hour. Made less than 30 jumps. My great coach and brother in law Mike Vani broke it down to the basics. He kept it fun and positive. This conversation is shortly after my first, and so far only, pole vault session. We dive into all things pole vaulting as he shares his 14 years of knowledge in the sport! Grip up, run smooth, and jump deep into this one!
