The Storm Dragon with Melissa Otis

    EPISODE 8: The Storm Dragon

In this episode, we get to listen to a powerful story called "The Storm Dragon". It’s about a little girl on vacation in the mountains and must face a terrible storm of intimidation. I think you’ll really like it. No matter how small you seem and how big your circumstances of fear are, there is still the opportunity to see into the deep and find your hidden treasures. After we present the Legend we get to discuss it with our guest and learn more about our life in this story.  I wrote this story many years ago for a little girl named Bethany in a church class of elementary kids that met on Wednesday evenings in Northridge, California. I was working with teacher Linda LaRue and we were using these prophetic stories to speak to the kid’s hearts. It was a special and important time where I got to connect with the kids and really father them. When I did this volunteer work, I got to discover my authentic voice: Fathering Through Film. Bethany at the time was a lovely young, little girl but I remember her having a spirit of courage and wisdom in her.  My guest is Melissa Otis, she is someone who truly understands facing fears and is here to discuss our Legend.  VIDEO Today’s guest is my friend Melissa Otis. Melissa is passionate about creativity

EPISODE 7: In the Hall of the Mountain King

In today’s episode, we get to listen to an amazing quest-like story called In the Hall of the Mountain King. It’s about perseverance and stepping into your own royalty. It’s got a mythical feeling to it. Almost like a Lord of the Rings motif. After we listen to the Legends we’ll discuss it with our guest.  I wrote this Legends several years ago for my good friend Niles Rivers when he was struggling at the time about his identity. He was faced with incredible opportunities as an artist and a performer in the entertainment industry. But he really needed encouragement and strength. Niles was experiencing incredible favor with his acting and singing but it was not easy. He reached out to me and I received this Legend for him.  My guest is Niles Rivers. He is an Ovation nominated actor who has played Simba in Disney’s The Lion King stage production.  And as a singer, he worked with Grammy-Winning music supervisor David Foster, and currently has a movie in a release called “One Last Prayer”.   Think Mythic LLC www.legendsofthewind.com
