I just entered adulthood and I do not have a single idea whether I'm doing it right nor do I have a clue if I'm doing well in my career. In addition, my friends are also just as confused as I am. I wanted to make a memoir to document our journey into adulthood; all the wins, loses, lessons, and existential crises in-between. Hopefully, we can look back at this podcast someday and say, "Hey, we actually made it".

Anyway, after a little over than a year, guess who's back with a brand new.. episode? Okay, explain ko lang what happened in the past year and some of the lessons and just basically say na I still plan to continue this podcast. Fair warning, wala akong script, unstructured 'to, and para lang ako nagkwento sa Finsta. And honestly, parang balik na ko sa Ali? Dami kong arte sa Kali na 'yon. Ayaw ko pala magrebrand. I just want to continue growing and learning without the need to pull up a new persona.

Self-love and the BS I was doing for 5 years
Man, I've been single for 5 years and I.. I honestly thought what I was doing was self-love; It wasn't. My friend however, ended a 5 year relationship. Imagine ending a long-term relationship during the pandemic (side note, he is also a post-graduate student). Walang malamig na beer na yayakap sa umiiyak mong puso. Parang 'di ko yun kaya. So, wala kaming choice kung 'di ayusin mga desisyon namin sa buhay, and to really find out what self-love is.

Pandemic Response: Immediate Happiness
Be honest, none of us thought that 2020 will be as bad as it actually was. Kasalanan talaga 'to ng mga nagsabi ng, "Come at me, 2020!" nung New Years Eve, eh. Kidding. And to think, after one year, ito ulit tayo. Pero hindi 'yun 'yung point, gusto ko lang talaga sabihin 'yun. In this episode, I will be joined by one of my best friends, who like me, gave up nung 2020; nag-let go, let god, and by some miraculous reason, nagkaroon ng peace of mind. Hindi ko alam kung gagana ba 'yon sa'yo, pero malay mo may mapulot ka sa episode na 'to. Join us as we talk about how we coped with 2020 and how these coping mechanisms ay nadala namin sa 2021.

Welcome to Life As I'm Knowing It. I am excited to share with you all my journey as a young adult, who just entered adulthood. This podcast will serve as a documentation of my ups and downs, along with all the things I have yet to experience, process, and learn from. I honestly don't know where it will go from here, but we're here now! My name is Kali and I'm inviting you to join me in figuring out what I'm gonna do with my life and how I'm gonna find joy and experience happiness from it. Note that this is a passion project and I will not pressure myself to make content.
I've been struggling with finding something to do that makes me happy. When I was planning this podcast, conceptualizing it, thinking of content, finding for music under a creative commons license, it made me happy. So, I'm doing this.
