Today I have the pleasure of speaking with a very close friend of mine, Emily Tschida. In 2016 Emily joined Americorps and moved down to Arkansas for a year to help high school students graduate and see their potential for their future. She was so inspired by the work that, while still in Arkansas, she applied for Peace Corps. She was accepted into the Peace Corps and only had 5 days at home in Minnesota before boarding a plane for Comoros, a small island in Africa, where she would live for the next 2 and a half years. Emily’s story is inspiring in so many ways and reminds us that we can all learn so much from each other, no matter how different we may seem. Here is Emily’s story….

Today I have the pleasure of speaking with Roseline Friedrich about her candle company, Roseline Candles. Roseline started the company in 2019 after throwing a candle-making party for friends. Since then, her candles have taken off! Roseline is in tons of local stores and even opening her own storefront in just a few months. The pandemic hit Jacklyn hard, as she found herself furloughed, going through a breakup, and worried about paying her mortgage all at once. It ended up being a Tik Tok video and 2 Walmart sweatshirts, which were her saving grace and turned her entire life around. Here is Jacklyn’s story.
