In 2003 Ben quit corporate life in headhunting to follow his passion – food. His first food business was the multi-award-winning cheese shop - The CheeseWorks. In 2007, whilst still running the shop he got to the final of BBC’s Masterchef. It was on the back of this achievement that he started his fine dining business www.benaxford.com that he still operates today. Following a successful sale of the cheese shop Ben launched a luxury chocolate business and quickly garnered critical acclaim eventually becoming a 7 times Academy of Chocolate Medallist. In 2019 he sold the chocolate business and is currently focusing on private dining and the development of new business ventures.
