Jimmy Hatch, Spike's K9 Fund
We are joined by James Hatch, a retired Special Warfare Operator. He served in the Navy and seal teams for over 20 years, with multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jimmy was a K9 handler on several deployments. His life was spared on multiple occasions by the dogs he worked with. On his last deployment Jimmy was critically wounded during a firefight but survived because of K9 in Jimmy’s unit. That night a Belgian Malinois, named Remco, spared Jimmy’s life while losing his own. Today Jimmy orients his life around the training, care, and preservation of working dogs through the charity he founded, Spike's K9 fund.
