Moon Breathing a technique to relax and balance the Sacral chakra
Welcome to Meena's meditations today I am going to be showing you a breathing technique to help balance your second chakra
and it is called Moon breathing Or left nostril breathing
the benefits of this meditation and breathing technique iare
it helps quiet the mind promotes a feeling of balance
improve heart and lung health and increase relaxation
and it can get you in the right headspace for a meditation practice
This breathing technique activates water and Moon energy as the moon phases influences our body chemistry and emotions it links us to the Stars
There is the counter breathing technique that is called the Sun breathing while the moon relaxes you and balances your sacral chakra the Sun energizes you And helps balance the heart chakra so it is a good idea do an alternating technique all this sun and moon breathing
fun fact- we automatically practice Left side nasal breathing every 16 minutes of every hour we primarily breathe through your left nostril when we breathe.
When we intentionally practice this breathing technique it activates our ida nadi which is lunar in nature
the Ida Nadi also stimulates the right side of our brain which relates to our intuition are emotion and our creativity.
There are many wonderful techniques achieve balance, and many people practice left side and right side breathing techniques set for today this is just the left nostril Moon breathing technique.
Before we get started I would like you to check in with your body and write down color note how you feel how you thinking just where you are at right now in this moment
it is recommended that you take this technique slowly and keep a journal of how you feel before and after which not only lets you see progress fast which gives you motivation to keep practicing self improvement but it also teaches you how lower valuation of thoughts and feelings feel inside your body versus higher vibrational thoughts and feelings
sit comfortably upright either in a chair or on the floor wherever you're comfortable
Let's begin Moon breathing
simply take your right hand and gently press it against your right nostril and breathe in through your left nostril for a count of 3 and then exhale through the left nostril for a count of 5
visualize the moon energy activating in balancing your sacral chakra
We are going to do this for a total of 10 times
slowly breathe in 1 2 3
exhale 1 2 3 4 5
It is strongly suggested that you start slow and keep your inhalation timing and exhalation timing consistent start with the 1 2 3 and then gradually work up to whatever you do as you are comfortable with to be safe And please always do your research and this is not in replacement of any kind of needed medical attention
