The Mental Health and Faith: A Closer Look podcast is in an interview-style format with topics related to mental health and/or faith. Podcast facilitators are Caroline S. Cooper, Executive Director, and Jane H. Alexander, Mental Health Coordinator of Mental Health Connect of Missouri, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Caroline and Jane are mental health consumers (individuals receiving treatment for a diagnosed mental illness) and are passionate about spreading the word that mental illness does not define a person. It is possible to live full, productive, and joy-filled lives even while living with, and sometimes suffering from, a mental health diagnosis.

Individuals interviewed will represent a broad spectrum of therapists and psychiatrists, staff of mental health organizations. pastors, and mental health consumers. Topics will include the spiritual aspect of recovery, how the church addresses mental illness, and how businesses can provide wellness programs in their offices. Each interviewee will provide materials that will be shared on the podcast website.

Caroline and Jane would like to see their listeners comment and contribute to the conversation. They are also looking for individuals to interview. If you are interested, please contact them at the email addresses listed below.
