Midnight Meets With Colin Murray

Imagine the feeling of getting home from a hard days graft at work and slipping into a pair of comfy slippers (if any has them these days). Well, that’s the feeling Colin Murray achieves with Midnight Meets. He’s a skilful conversationalist, very quick witted, and as down to earth as you’d like him to be. He puts his guests at ease, even when he’s a bit awestruck himself sometimes. I’ve only recently discovered this podcast series and been working my way through the archive of interviews. I’ve really enjoyed everyone of them and love scrolling through the episodes to find the ones that will interest me most. The conversations bring insight and personality to each of the guests he interviews. I’ll never think of many of his interviewee’s in the same way again. Some are so hilarious you end up replaying them. Great craic altogether. Colin Murray is a now a bit of a national treasure for anyone lucky enough to grow up in Northern Ireland. For me, Midnight Meets is a little like home away from home and something to look forward to. Can’t recommend the podcast series highly enough.

Great host, great guests

Colin does an excellent job at going beyond the standard generic interview angles. His unique style works brilliantly with his well chosen guests.

Colin really helps you get a feel for his interviewees personalities. Often starting out light and whimsical, he seems to have a talent for setting people at ease before drawing them into the more serious questions. Thoroughly enjoyable pod!
