Meet our guest: Rui Su!

Rui is a co-founder, entrepreneur, and clinical chief officer for MedMe Health. Upon graduating with her PharmD from the University of Waterloo in 2018, Rui sought out opportunities where she could advance the future of pharmacy. Together, with her partners in crime, Rui set out to build the operating system for the future of pharmacy practice, as pharmacies shift from dispensing hubs to community health hubs.

In this episode, Rui shares her personal journey in exploring various non-traditional pharmacy career pathways, and what it’s like to foster a digital health start-up, from the ground-up.

Meet our guest: Zaccheus Lim!

Zac is a UBC Pharmacy and MBA alumnus, who has ventured through numerous roles within pharmacy business, consulting, and sat on the National Pharmacy Advisory Committee. Currently, Zac is a Site Leader at Amazon, San Francisco, where he is able to provide leadership development and manage operations in countless facilities.

In this episode, Zac talks about overcoming hurdles, challenges, and stepping outside his personal boundaries to further develop and meet his professional goals. As a leader within and outside of the pharmacy, Zac wishes to inspire others to become resilient, and not to be afraid of exploring new paths and opportunities.

Meet our guest: Doug Ma!

Doug is Senior Product Manager at TELUS Health, currently overseeing the Digital Technology Supercluster department. He has completed his BSc. Pharm at the University of Toronto, and has since then worked various roles within community pharmacy, from floating, to staff, to managing, and beyond.

Upon completing his MBA at the University of British Columbia, Doug has dived head-first into health technology and innovation, pursuing various projects that range from pharmacy solutions, virtual care, home health monitoring, and more.

In this episode, Doug talks about his personal and professional journey within the world of pharmacy, and how health technology can serve as a tool for providing patient-centered care.

Meet our guest: Christy Cheung!

Christy is a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Sanofi Genzyme, specializing in Neurology. She is a 2019 UBC PharmD graduate and has completed her Industrial Pharmacy Residency at the University of Toronto in Medical Affairs with Sanofi Genzyme.

Christy is extremely passionate about digital health, particularly with artificial intelligence, as she has co-founded: The AI Collective, which helps pharmacists learn about the rapidly growing field of artificial intelligence, especially within the healthcare sector.

In this episode, Christy talks about her life experiences with the industrial pharmacy residency program, her journey within the pharmacy industry and health technology, as well as her reflections on self-growth.
