In this episode, we sat down with Melissa Bordeau of @Bordeauphoto, a local #Austin, Texas Wedding, Portrait, and Real Estate Photographer!

She talked about how she became inspired to do #photography through the #musicindustry and covering events like #SXSW, and what her experience was like. She also talked about how she became inspired to expand her photography skills into the portrait industry after helping another photographer with an engagement session and the importance of a #mentor.

She also talked about how when #COVID first hit, she understood that she had to pivot and adapt to the situation. It ended up actually giving her time to open up a print shop, since she also loves Nature and Travel Photography. She also talked about how the Real Estate Industry side of her photography kept consistent, because of the ease of social distancing measures.

She also explained how important it is to develop your own style. During the conversation, we talked about how when first starting out, you want to mimic or copy others style of creativity, but that ultimately developing your own style will attract people to you in the long run.

In this episode, we sat down with local Austin, Texas Photographers Cayla and David of @Carhartphotography. They're a Texas Hill Country-based wedding photographer + videographer team devoted to producing love stories that will endure for generations.

As we started our conversation with Cayla and David, Cayla explained how she became interested in portraiture and couples photography, bringing her to start a wedding photography business. After that, David became her 2nd shooter and started the video portion. of the company.

Cayla also explained her experience with SXSW (since we didn't get to experience one this year) and how there was such amazing creative energy through out the festival.

They also talked about COVID-19 and their experience adapting and working through it, and how they continually pushed though out the shut down.

Another big subject they mention is the tools they use. In this episode, they mention a software called Dubsado, which is a business management platform and how it helps them!

Another incredible podcast with Lorenzo Marez, a local photographer and brand strategist based here in #austintexas.

In this episode, we sat down with Lorenzo and asked him about his start, and what influenced him to begin photography. Lorenzo explained how his mom was his main inspiration in starting photography, as she was constantly documenting his childhood.

He also talked to us about a company he worked for as a brand ambassador called Meero. Meero is a platform that helps photographers grow their skills & business. Lorenzo was also a contributor to Google Local Guides, a program set up by Google allowing photographers to photograph and document locations around them for Google Maps.
