EP. 67: "From Brokenness to Beauty", Taylor James' Testimony of the Healing Power of Christ Jesus in her Spiritual and Relational Life

EP. 67: "From Brokenness to Beauty", Taylor James' Testimony of the Healing Power of Christ Jesus in her Spiritual and Relational Life

Hey Family!!!! Today I am highlighting a young leader who is doing GREAT things in the City of Cleveland!!!!

Taylor James is a 30-year-old youth leader (ELEVATE) at New Community Bible Fellowship in Cleveland Heights, OH. Taylor joins us today to discuss her call to ministry and her journey towards public teaching and leadership. Taylor also discusses the importance of intentional dating. Below are a few time stamps of interesting moments throughout the segment! Enjoy Part I today (February 19, 2023).

4:50 - IGNORING GOD'S CALL: Dysfunction that came into Taylor's life by not doing what God called me called her to do - produced unnecessary torment and warfare (similar to the story of Jonah in the Bible).

5:47 - PRUNING TO BEAR FRUIT: God had to “break" Taylor in order for me to be who he has called me to be now - prune me and work on my character (John 15:2). She went through seasons where she was isolated in order to bear the fruit you see in her life now. May this be hope to anyone who feels God is pruning (reduce the extent of (something) by removing superfluous or unwanted parts) them right now in order to produce his righteousness through them.

7:17 - HONEST HEALING: Taylor received true deliverance when she got real with God about her spiritual brokenness during this season of isolation.

8:24 - HEALING FROM SEXUAL BROKENNESS: Taylor’s healing of sexual brokenness; confessional community (once she was honest with God, and then honest with her community she began to experience healing) … “I can’t be celibate", I can’t do it on my own” / “I don’t agree” / Prayer: God, I need you to heal my heart and help to abstain by your power and not by my own flesh; check in with someone when you want to do something against GOD.

14:30 - OVERCOMING JUDGEMENT: What are the ways we can stop judging people for their struggles, and create atmospheres of confession and love for one another? Community of confession discussed in the Book of James and Galatians! Healing for one another.

If you enjoyed this episode, join us next week for Part II,

    Peace!
