Restorative Justice and Healing Trauma on the Micro and Macrocosms + BDSM vs Abuse Rise Up and Raise Hell

    • Spirituality

Major Trigger Warnings Ahead!
Addiction, drug use/abuse, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, physical violence, etc are mentioned and lightly discussed. The second half of the episode tackles these moreso than the first half, which only talks about my personal family struggles with drug addiction. There is a song in the middle to separate the two parts, so you can skip through. It's not that heavy, though Caitlyn discusses her ex abusing her (the things he did) briefly.
The song is by the amazingly talented Brooklynn, a black witch and artist in Atlanta who makes spiritual tools, amazing art, music, music videos and photography. You can find all her music on Spotify, YouTube, and iTunes; follow her on IG @brooklynnmusic and brooklynnmusic.com and shop her witchy wares at bebevaudou.com!
Other than that, we discuss the way toxic relationships and a lack of boundaries leads to a lack of restorative justice, and how that is reflected within our own interpersonal lives and relationships and the larger stage of American politics and the Capitol Riots on January 6th. We also talk about how much Arianna hates Lana Del Rey and Caitlyn hasn't had a lid on anything in her life, including the lid to her coolant in her car.
As always, we can be reached at riseupandraisehell@gmail.com and @riseupandraisehell on IG or arianna@notyourbasicwitch.com or @notyourbasicwitch on IG as well.
