Joan has worked on many high-profile academic and industry collaborated projects, and received the Societal Impact Award 2019. Joan understands the impact of Human and Machine Interaction (HMI); How the services in our hospitals may hit the mark for better operational efficiency but what about the client/patient experience?; The gig economy, whose gig is it really?; Tackling bias in AI and humans!; We explore the shifts in our attitudes as a result of AI interaction but need to acknowledge the changing shape to our brains, as a result of incorporating and normalising constant engagement with machine interactions in our daily lives today.
