How To Stay Competitive in the Furniture Industry with Wayne Wilson, President at Business Furnishings

How To Stay Competitive in the Furniture Industry with Wayne Wilson, President at Business Furnishings

In this week's episode of the Sask Entrepreneurs Podcast, host Mouneeb Shahid speaks with Wayne Wilson, President at Business Furnishings.

In 1976, Wayne started an office furniture company in Saskatoon and stayed there for about six years.

After his business launched, Business Furnishings opened in Saskatoon. It was operated by the general manager of his high school hockey team, who essentially lured Wayne over to Business Furnishings after six years at his other company.

In the end, Wayne ended up becoming President. He was just in the right place at the right time and his position morphed into the presidential role at Business Furnishings without any real plan. Today, he has a solid base to guide the next succession plan among his younger, dedicated workers.
