Episode 7 - David & Stephen Flynn - The Happy Pear - on reflection, coming home and their latest book

Episode 7 - David & Stephen Flynn - The Happy Pear - on reflection, coming home and their latest book

I sat with David and Stephen, at a safe and social distance, in the yard of their flagship cafe' in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. @thehappypear

They spoke to me openly about how Covid19 has given them more time to reflect on their values, their ideals, how they would like to shape their future and the importance of "coming home"

They have two more book coming out soon, the shop is due to reopen sometime in the near future and they are still as energetic as ever, but with a great reflective sense about them both.

    Hope you'll enjoy it.

Episode 5 - Renato Pilu - On the Virus in the worst affected area in Italy to his love for Ireland and Rugby

Episode 5 - Renato Pilu - On the Virus in the worst affected area in Italy to his love for Ireland and Rugby

I bumped into Renato in Ernesto's, Rathmines, during a Mark Geary's concert.

We kept in touch and I caught up with him last week to see what it was like in Italy at the moment.
Renato lives on a few short kilometers from the epicentre of the Virus in Italy, close to Bergamo.

He spoke to me about it and also about his love for Ireland, having created and run www.celticworld.it and when he played on stage with Glen Hansard.

The conversation is in Italian (my first one!!)

At the end of the podcast the song I play is performed by Renato and is a beautiful rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's tune..

    Enjoy.

Episode 4 - Fiona English & Joakim Saflund on Spirituality

Episode 4 - Fiona English & Joakim Saflund on Spirituality

I have known Joakim for years and he was one of the first people I met that practiced yoga, studied Zen philosophy and spirituality.

I met Fiona when we first recorded a podcast (Episode 75) and then again when she was part of the panel for our Do we really need another Guru? live event in the Whale Theatre in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.

She she researches, speaks and writes about Positive Psychology and she has recently  launched 'Exploring Spirituality', a series of projects aimed at creating open dialogue and conversations about spirituality in the 21st Century.

    I hope you'll enjoy it.

    Episode 2 - Siobhan Murray - Psychotherapist/Author

    Episode 2 - Siobhan Murray - Psychotherapist/Author

I caught up with Siobhan over Zoom to discuss the challenges that the lockdown is posing to all of us.
We are in the midst of a pandemic of the Coronavirus and in Ireland, at the time of recording, we are at week three of this new reality.

Siobhan has some great advice on how to deal with working from home, isolation, lockdown fatigue and lots more.

It is refreshing to hear some sensible, workable solutions amongst the noise and pressure that a situation like this can impose on us.

Siobhan is also running some online courses in the coming weeks (15th and 22nd of April) with the LEO South Dublin.

Check out her Website www.twistingthejar.com for more information or www.localenterprise.ie/SouthDublin.

    Hope is of help.
