Forming just 2 years ago over lockdown Negro Impacto seem to have made a real impact on the local and national music scene. Getting asked to play Electric Picnic, All together Now and Primavera sounds in Barcelona.
One half of the duo Laurence joined me to talk about their adventures so far, about how taking what was essentially a bedroom project during lockdown to the live stage, about what inspires him and his partner in crime Chi Chi and where they hope to go in the future.

Joey Edwards describes him self first and fore most as a musician, he has been playing guitar and in different bands for over 10 years but while building his profile as a sound engineer he took over the mantle of manager for upcoming Dundalk band Just Mustard. He also, along with a group of contemporaries, started an independent record label called Pizza Pizza Records.This is really a great insight into the working of the Irish music industry for musicians, managers, sound engineers and those interested in the record label business.We start of chatting about growing up in the big city of Knockbridge, playing hurling and writing music with his sister Sarah.
