Can personally vouch for Patrick McKeogh's Buteyko courses!
Amazing podcast and finally I can send on something to friends, when trying to explain to them how Buteyko works. In 2009 I got a voucher from a friend for Patrick's course, having had severe chronic asthma triggered by pretty much everything (allergies, heat, cold, exercise, stress) from the age of 3 on. I was on steroids all my life, constantly increasing the dosage - and I was not too optimistic about this course, I basically only went because I appreciated the gift and wanted to tell her that I at least tried (also her husband went too, so she would have noticed if I had skipped it). What can I say - I felt immediate relief after just one session. After 2 weeks of daily exercises I was off all medications, after 3 weeks I never had an asthma attack ever again. Today, when I feel the slightest pressure on my chest, I just repeat the exercise routine for a couple of days and it's gone. Not only got I rid of my asthma, but I also did not have a bronchitis or sinus infection for more than a few days in 8 years (and I used to have severe ones all the time). It also helps me with stress before public speaking, by the way - since it disables hyperventilation.
