The Lime Tree Theatre officially opened in October 2012 and is one of Ireland’s flagship theatre and performing arts venues, located on the campus of Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
Through its funding from the Arts Council and local authority, it ensures that audiences in Limerick have access to the best of local, national and international performing arts, as well as grassroots community and school performances.

Established in 2016, Limerick Suicide Watch (LSW) is a volunteer organisation whose aim is to prevent suicide in Limerick City. The group patrol the River Shannon and offering support to those in distress or who may be contemplating suicide.

LSW has grown significantly to 70 volunteers within the past year and they have completed 5,320 hours of patrolling Limerick streets on foot or by bike in 2020. LSW has helped save over 500 people’s lives since 2016 by providing support to those suffering.

In this episode of the Humanli podcast, Karl chats with Peadar Collins, the Student Welfare Officer in UL Student Life.

Peadar and Karl chat about the impact our 'always-on' society is having on young people's mental health.  Peadar also tells us about his successful Speakfor15 campaign, which was set up before the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan. To date, he has fundraised over €6,000 for Pieta House.

CareBright is a leading care provider in Munster. This charity was established due to the need for professional and supportive care in the Limerick community and they have been providing care to older people in the community for over 22 years. 

Founded in 2013, Clare’s Wish Foundation is the only Irish charity dedicated to providing wishes exclusively to adults with terminal illnesses.  In this episode, Karl speaks with Founder Kevin Clancy, who was inspired to start the charity after losing his sister Clare.
