Insightful

As a fan of metal I would love to have a pal like Jamie that has an obsessive interest and that can chat in detail about the formation of bands etc.. I'll just settle for the great podcasts. I'm always impressed by the way Jamie refers to the classic stuff, there's a respect. Danko Jones is a great talker but sometimes his lack of actual interest is painful..it's gotta be an obsessive love or all the poetic talk will just fall flat..My only criticsm is that there is not enough criticsm of music by artists!! It's ok to say everything is rad but also to critique the musical misteps, it would be interesting to engage mustaine..i am sure he would welcome it. I was shocked that Jamie didn't have a greta knowledge of "Risk" at all which is certainly a brave and important metal album because of its bravery! In short i'd like the podcasts to be more than love ins..I feel Eddie Trunk cuts to the core of the music more and challeneges the artists..why not a bit more of that Jamie??
