    We were contacted by Ali one of our listeners asking for an episode on how best to prepare for the Home Economics exam. The test is taking place on the first day of this years Leaving Cert after English Paper 1, so because time is of the essence we thought we would treat you to a special bonus episode.


    Crossy and Tara were joined in studio by one of the country's most expert Home Economics teachers. Sandra Cleary has been teaching in The Institute of Education since 1991. She also spent two years teaching in the Dublin College of Catering and was assistant to Mairín Uí Chomáin in the R.T.E. cookery series "Cuisine le Mairín". She has contributed articles in the print media since 1993. Sandra is the author of the recently published Leaving Certificate revision book, Rapid Revision Home Economics, part of the Rapid Revision series by Folens. Clare has over 25 years experience teaching Irish to Higher Level Leaving Cert students and has been teaching full time at the Institute for the past 14 years. Clare has assisted in researching the Irish language and has helped in the translation of a number of texts into Irish, so she is the perfect woman to advise you on how to ace the Irish Aural exam.

Michael has been teaching at the institute since 1995, and is one of the countries most experienced geography teachers and examiners.
