The treatment of Ryan Tubridy by RTE and Kevin Bakhurst has been despicable. The quality of radio these days is so low, take 2fm as a perfect example. Ryan was a beacon of light with his high standards and care for his listenership. Always interesting and insightful, RTE will in time, prove that they have scored a massive own goal in their treatment of Ryan. During Covid especially, Ryan served the country well and he went above and beyond to provide an excellent public service. RTE is in a dark place. They should have more respect for people who have developed their craft over many years. Shame on you Mr Bakhurst!

Disgraceful RTÉ

Sickened to core at the disgusting treatment of Ryan by RTÉ - nobody will ever be able to fill his shoes. The radio is permanently off now in our kitchen until he is back on. No licence fee will ever be paid in our house! Scapegoated and hung out to dry. Ashamed to be Irish!
