Liz Neofytou is the co-founder of Artborne Framing, based in Victoria Yards, Johannesburg. She speaks to us about the process and emphasises the importance of framing, and how it is used to protect the art piece and preserve it over time. The 6th and final episode of season 2 features Bantu Mahlangu, a Johannesburg based photographer. Mahlangu extensively documents events and the entertainment space in South Africa. A friend of his opened him to the idea of potentially studying at the Market Photo Workshop because he always carried a camera on him. This Audio Is Visual is a podcast engaging photographers and visual artists on their work. The fifth episode of the second season features Durban born photographer Andile Phewa, a Market Photo Workshop alumni whose interests are centred on fashion and nightlife. In the episode the photographer shares insights on invoicing and other photography business hacks.

“You cannot research pricing. You price in accordance with (what you have done), how long you have been in the industry,” shares Phewa.

He believes the industry can thrive even more with a cohesive community. Through collaboration and organising exhibitions, he has built a community for himself in Cape Town, where he has also found home.
