This Woman Can Janice Sutherland

This is the first special mini-series within the "This Woman Can" podcast.  and I'm excited to share the inspiration behind this series.
In my role as an executive coach, I've had the privilege of working with professional Black women over 50, witnessing their incredible journeys in the world of leadership and life. 
Midlife is a time of profound transformation, where life experiences converge with aspirations, and the pursuit of success takes on new dimensions. It's a phase where we reevaluate our goals, redefine our purpose, and often, rediscover the sheer joy of living.
Each mini  series will focus on a core challenge I see these women face as they embark on discovering who they are at this pivotal stage of life.  Throughout this series, we'll dive into their stories, gain insights from their experiences, and extract practical wisdom that can empower us all. Like many Black women of my generation, I was raised with the ethos that I had to work twice as hard than my counterparts just to be recognized, yet alone get ahead. 
This meant I was constantly on the go, constantly feeling the pressure to hustle and perform which led to my last bout of career burnout and I knew I had to do things differently. 
It was then I realized I don’t have to follow the conventional path of success, I could define my own measures and go at my pace.
