    E76 Why Am I Here?

    E76 Why Am I Here?

In this episode, Christy explores why we are here and how to reach our full potential. She explains that you came into this life to be great but childhood experiences can shape who you become and cause you to forget your true self. Through personal development, renewing your mindset, and forgiving the past, you can transform and reconnect to the light within you.
Your light, peace, and love already exist within you. The shift begins with accepting that this is possible for you. When triggered at work or in conflict, the root issue may lie in unhealed trauma from your past. Forgiving those who hurt you can help avoid reacting from a wounded place.
It's a lifelong process of renewing your mind through reading, listening, and applying information. Mastering one book that you read again and again will have more impact than reading a thousand books superficially. This inner transformation is how we reconnect with our true selves and rediscover our purpose in life.

E75 Should I Quit My Job for Entrepreneurship

E75 Should I Quit My Job for Entrepreneurship

The podcast episode features Christy Rutherford, host of "Money Loves Happy People," discussing the topic of quitting a job for entrepreneurship. She emphasizes the need of having a plan and a strong mindset before making the leap and gives warning against leaving a job out of desperation. Christy also encourages listeners to prioritize their mental and physical health and work on themselves before starting a business. The episode includes anecdotes and advice for women considering entrepreneurship, with a guest speaker sharing her personal experience of struggling with multiple medical conditions and a toxic work environment while trying to maintain success in her job.
    Key Points from this Episode:
The essential of leaving a job through inspiration rather than desperation, and the negative consequences of leaving out of desperation.
The need to prioritize oneself and one's mental and physical health before making the leap to entrepreneurship.

The importance of having a plan and financial stability before quitting a job for entrepreneurship.

The necessity to establish a plan for entrepreneurship and know what unmonetized intellectual property one is holding onto.

Maintain a strong mindset as an entrepreneur that is, to focus on one business at a time and realize the hardship of working on oneself while on fire.

The challenges of starting a business including the struggles that may come before becoming fully healed, settled, and comfortable working on oneself.

It is more interesting to leave a work in inspiration rather than desperation if one is planning to be an entrepreneur, as health plays a key role for the business to run smoothly, achieve its goals, and reach success.

There should be a ready plan before quitting a job in the financial aspect and an investment in personal growth in preparation for entrepreneurship.

Here’s a snippet of this episode:
“It's not a good scenario where you're looking for others to tell you what your worth and value is. So stop accepting the roles, but start setting goals and move towards them.”
    —Mitchelle Pierre-Poinsette
    Show Notes and Youtube Description

Join in and listen to get the core fundamental essentials for your business growth and success!
Here’s Just a Taste of This Episode’s Talking Points
Mitchelle’s Challenges That Made Her Reach Out & Change
At first thought, Mitchelle’s wanted to get help with advancing her career as an in-house lawyer.
But after our first conversation, she walked away thinking she might need a little bit more help. Cause I had her thinking about some internal work that she needed to do.

She realized that it wasn't just executive presence, which she thought was what she needed to advance. She actually needed to do some internal work within her, which in turn would allow her to show up differently for those opportunities that would unfold on their own, as opposed to chasing after something.
What Mitchelle Thought Executive Presence Was & It To Be
Initially, Mitchelle thought it was showing up to meetings prepared to put on a show. To put on a show in a way that appealed to the individuals that were at the table. She thought she needed to know how to show up in a way where she can be seen and viewed as an effective leader and not an angry black woman.

But after the work we’ve done so far, she realizes that It's really not about how she shows up, but how she determines her worth. Before she was allowing others to determine her own worth as opposed to her knowing her worth and just showing up as a person that needs to be valued.
Other Topics We Covered on the Show:
A light bulb moment for Mitchelle realizing that it was her internal issues that were hindering her to thrive in life.
    What happened to Mitchelle’s childhood?
The difference in Mitchelle’s personal quality of life and how that's changed.
Benefits of moving and being happy.
Mitchelle as a cancer survivor and the story behind that.
Mitchelle also shared three things on how to be able to get to the other side of your joy.
