    Samana Haider is a Manager at Forcepoint's Security Labs. She is originally from Pakistan and has been living in Ireland for the last 16 years, and working in the security industry for the last 10 years. She graduated in Mathematics and Statistics, and holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science.

    She believes in giving back to the community, and has been in the local school board for the last number of years. She has worked closely with the school management as well as the parents, working on various issues that are faced on day-to-day basis by the school teachers students and parents.

    Orla Cox is a security professional with over 20 years experience in cyber security. Most recently Orla was Director of Content Development at Symantec, where she was at the forefront of investigations into some of the most well-known cyber threats, such as Stuxnet and WannaCry. Orla speaks regularly at industry conferences and customer events on the subject of internet security and cyber threats, and has represented Symantec as a media spokesperson on topical security issues.

    In this episode, I sat down with Laura Fitzgerald, Principal Legal Counsel in Forcepoint, a global cyber security company. Laura is a lawyer based in Dublin and leads the EMEA legal function and has responsibility for the global engineering Centres of Excellence. In 2019, Laura was the only Irish woman selected by Banco Santander for the World 50, where she attended UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Leadership programme designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders for service as board directors and as senior industry leaders.

    Denise has been working in the IT industry for 15 years, with almost 10 specifically in IT Security. She has a BSc in Software Development and a MSc in Computer Security and Forensics from Dublin City University.  
    In addition to being a busy mother of 3, Denise works in the Information Security team at Facebook, before Facebook she held positions at PwC, Ulster Bank, Citrix Systems and Jenkinson Agencies.  
    Denise is the OWASP Dublin Chapter lead and has a passion for all things security. You might catch her reading a tech book or two in what little spare time is available :-)

    S2E3 - Jennifer Cox on life, time management, dreams and goals

    Jennifer Cox has 14 years of experience in tech and in the Cyber Security industry. She works with techies across all of EMEA in enabling best practices and cyber exposure prevention. Jennifer is an advisory board member of the Leaders in Tech Ireland, WITS Ireland (Women in Technology and Science Ireland) and works hard to insure diversity and inclusion within her industry by partaking in roles such as Judging at the Coolest Projects event for kids in the RDS, speaking at Women in Tech in Sept 2019 in front of an audience of 1200, launching a mentoring project in Tenable and participating in the Irish Independent Newspaper women in tech podcast special as one of 4 women featured in the special and interviewed by the Sunday Independent Editor Samantha McCaughren. 
    Outside of the above she has found time to be promoted in 2019, which will be her fourth in three years, in her Security role in Tenable. She always finds the time to support causes that interest her outside of her work and most especially causes that are of social impact. She doesn’t believe anyone should be limited, least of all by a social label and intends to prove this in her own behaviour. She is continuing to work on her STEM degree in her ‘free’ time and is a testament to what women are capable of. She has been shortlisted 7 times for a variety of technical awards including most recently Business Role Model of the year.

    S2E2 - Joanne O'Connor on Cyber Ireland, Cyber Women Ireland and Galway

    Joanne O'Connor brings her experience in public relations, UX, and project management to her current role as Cyber Security Training and Education officer at HPE. She is the lead of Cyber Women Ireland – which at a country level looks to encourage the advancement and capacity of women involved in all aspects of the Irish security sector and security community, through the exchange of information and the cultivation of productive relationships. Joanne was nominated to represent Ireland in the ECSO – European Cyber Security Organization initiative ‘Women4Cyber’ which launched in Jan 19’. Joanne is also a board member of Cyber Ireland. She was named in SC magazine as one of the Top 50 Women in Cyber in Europe 2019. She has spent the last year working on introducing Cyber Security Education into the Irish school system with the 'Cyber Ireland Schools Academy.'
