11/28/22 Episode 71: Happy Holidays from KMD
The past couple of weeks have provided so many opportunities for me to be disappointed in myself but NONE of them insurmountable. Sometimes we have to parent ourselves. I gave myself several talkings to and reminded myself again and again how very lucky I am. Thankful for so many things this holiday season. Thankful for you. Take good care of yourself! xo, KMD

11/3/22 Episode 70: Manny Torres
Author, painter and independent film producer, Manny Torres stopped by for a visit! I enjoyed getting to know his creative process as well as his “journey” (dammit sometimes it just fits) as a creator. We talk about things he observed and absorbed growing up that find their way onto the pages of his publications like 2020’s “Dead Dogs” and the two most recently published, “Father Was a Rat King” and “Perras Malas”, both out in 2022. I want to thank Manny for sharing his anxiety experience. He really opened another facet of the conversation exposing the raw truth of how anxiety can manifest and we both share ways we’ve found to get it out of our systems. I hope you enjoy and thanks again for listening!

10/16/22 Episode 69: *Nerdkween
Getting back in the Groove with some lovely Autumn weather and a super fab visit with Nerdkween, (artist moniker worn by Atlanta’s Monica Arrington). We bond over the hope that we can continue to transform in our golden years and the recent revelation that music is energy, the creation (and experience) of which, connects living creatures of all levels. We talk gate-keeping, compounding and swirling ever-evolving fractals. Enjoy our candid conversation and stay tuned for more Zen Noodle Pie!

4/30/22 Episode 68: Johnny Sughrue
It’s been quite a month of highs and lows. I had to take a moment in this intro to honor beloved, Dr. Dilip Kumar Bhowmik, who left this earthly realm this month. A great loss for so many and a brilliant light of influence that will be carried on by all who knew him.
A couple of weeks before that I had the pleasure of catching up with Knoxville pal, Johnny Sughrue. I’m so happy that he is now based in Atlanta and I get to see his handsome face at many a show. He’s always a good one to share a laugh, a beer, and memories with. Johnny shares how his band, The Judybats, name came about, what he does to stay balanced and in shape, and something I didn’t know about his dance skills. I’m always delighted to learn something new about an old friend. Enjoy this episode and thanks for sticking with Zen Noodle Pie. Stay well! -
4/3/22 Episode 67: KMD Checks In
Hello folks. I needed to check the acoustics in various areas of our home today and took the opportunity to record an episode about what’s been on my mind. I hope my ramblings help someone out there; even if just to forget your troubles for a bit. Thanks for listening! xo, kmd

3/19/22 Episode 66: Carrie Hodge
This week marks the 6th year of Zen Noodle Pie! How appropriate that the lovely Carrie Hodge of Atlanta’s own Love Letter help me christen the freshly painted Straw Polly Studios by being my first in-person interview since early 2020 for ZNP’s 66th episode. I’m beyond thrilled to bring you this candid conversation on comfort and more with one of my fave vocalists and people. Carrie shares how self-care during pandemic gave her (and a lot of us) an excuse to over-indulge and when she realized it- she began to indulge in a more healthy fashion through a long (sometimes 2hours) bedtime ritual involving such things as stretching and skincare. Spending less time on social media is another form of care that we Both have been practicing and we’re trying to brainstorm something we can all migrate to- away from FB and instagram- where we can stay on top of art music and food happenings and leave Zuckerberg FOREVER! Until then, guess you’ll be seeing this on IG. Enjoy!
