    The Brian Flores Lawsuit

Former Miami Dolphins Head Coach Brian Flores launched a bombshell of a lawsuit alleging what many have always feared, that black head coaches in the NFL are held to a higher standard. In his lawsuit, he makes 3 serious allegations among which that he was given a sham interview by the NY Giants all because he received an errant text message intended for another Brian, Brian Daboll the new Coach of the NY Giants days before his own interview for the job.

Simone Biles and The Fear of Black Excellence

Simone Biles and The Fear of Black Excellence

Simone Biles is the greatest gymnast who ever lived at only 24 years old, yet she is constantly discouraged from creating new moves and getting her proper recognition for them. The moves she creates and performs effortlessly, are dangerous for other world-class gymnasts, men or women, to even try. As a result, the governing bodies lower the difficulty score for them to discourage their use. This is unfair to Biles and the future of the sport and it's a part of a long history of hostility for black women in traditionally white sports.

    The End of Traffic Stops

    The End of Traffic Stops

In this episode, we discuss a possible police reform we think should get serious consideration, and that is the end of the traffic stop as we know it. Every year there are millions and millions of traffic stops nationwide that endanger both the citizen and the officer. Far too many times these stops result in lawsuits and even loss of life as we have seen far too often in recent years. It is time to ask the question, would the public be better served if getting pulled over was a thing of the past?

    Frozen In Texas

    Frozen In Texas

In this episode, we discuss our experiences enduring the Texas Winter Storm and Power outage as we both live in North Texas. The Texas Power grid approached critical failure as rolling blackouts combined with some of the coldest temperatures recorded statewide resulted in a perfect storm that endangered millions of Texans. This crisis in Texas was both preventable and a political lightning rod for those on both sides of the aisle as the proudly independent Texan Power grid had no winterization to protect it. Meanwhile, politicians like Ted Cruz fled the state, while others argued and lied about the causes of the failure. Today we talk about our time spent Frozen in Texas.
