What's On Your Mind? with Demi Babatunde Demi Babatunde

This year, my dad's made it his own tradition to ask family members to talk about life history. So I figured for his birthday I'd ask him about his. See the thing about my dad is...he TALKS 😅 Give him an inch, and he'll take a few miles ON GAWD! Ask him two question, we talk for two hours 🤣 I got the history, and the history before the history 💯 so thankfully this was at night otherwise it would've been an 8 hr recording 😭 Enjoy 🙏🏾&💡

Now we could talk about his experience at a predominantly white seminary, or even him and his wife finding a large check that was almost 5 or 6 years old...but I learned something more important...YEAH I SAID...from my conversation with brother Isaiah Hampton (Instagram: @zay_rell23). I learned about perspective, and I re-evaluated what it means to have real joy; the type joy that supersedes how one feels, what one has, and what people think about you. REAL JOY. 

The upside to fellow creatives like my bro Shakur (Instagram: @shakurgibson__) is that you can have podcast recordings at like 2 a.m. and it's not a problem for either of us 🤣Ask anybody who knows me... I have my deepest convos around this time 💯. Shakur and I covered church culture, creativity, manhood in today's society, and transparency.

Let me paint the picture for y'all! It's probably 10 p.m. on a weekend...me minding my own business in my room...when suddenly my sister, Dami (Instagram: @_lola.bee_) barges into my room claiming that she's gonna "Whoop me at Uno 🙃," so I did what anyone naturally would; I set up and microphone of us playing 10 or 11 games, and asked her what was on her mind obviously 😅. She talks about where she'd go if COVID wasn't still a thing, as well as highlighting her crazy story of going to Transformation Church back in February.
