    S01E11: Shri Ramcharitmanas : The Foundation Of India | Hindi/Avadhi |

Hello & Welcome (Finally) to an episode of this podcast that is trust me very close to my heart but really far away in the number of episodes I have uploaded till date, but believe me, life leaves you with very little choices sometimes and you just gotta go with the flow.

Today, I read a beautiful article published in a monthly magazine titled "Kalyan" that I eagerly wait for every month, this magazine is published by "Gitapress Gorakhpur" which is a religious & cultural publication and probably the oldest in India. This publication is over a century old and they continue to publish religious, spiritual & cultural books and material and distribute them for a very low price across the country and even overseas. The magazine conytains some really great write ups, debates and articles that often pique my interest and somedays I decide to record a few of them to just make them accessible to a certain section of audiences who listen to this podcast. In a similar attempt I record an article in this episode for you guys so as to enable you to have an insight on one of India's most popular religious scriptures The Ramcharitmanas. I call it the foundation of India because our values, morals, actions and decisions have their basis in this very book which is revered by every Hindu across this universe. It is thus important for us to revisit our roots at constant intervals and that is what philosophy is all about, in this world full of ethical and moral dilemmas a frequent revisiting of our ancient philosophy guides us in these tumultuous times.

I hope this episode finds you in the best of health and spirit, with a promise to be back very soon...I wish you all a happy, healthy & peaceful life journey ahead

    S01E08 Who Was Shams Tabrez? | Hindi/Urdu

Its been a couple of days now that I have been reading this book called Forty Rules Of Love, and it mentions two beautiful people namely Shams Tabrez & his disciple Maulana Rumi, I was curious and it wasn't the first time that this was happening, I tried to find info about Shams but there wasn't much available on the internet (or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough), but while reading the book, I started researching again and found something which I thought I should share with all of my wonderful listeners, so here I am just talking about "Rumi's Sun", I hope this episode finds you in great spirits and good health, I shall be back with another episode of A Talks Poetry very soon, until then take good care of yourselves.

    S01E07 Krishna Ki Chetavani | Krishna's Warning | Hindi |

Hello & welcome to today's episode of A Talks: Poetry! As you all have been aware that since this podcast started I have been reading some really touching and beautiful poetry which I wanted to share with you guys and so I did, but a few days ago I had this idea were I wanted to share some Hindi poetry with you guys as well, coz why not! Hindi poetry has some really great gems that must be read and shared with the world, so following that concept, beginning today, in a 10 episode series of this podcast I shall bring to you some beautifully written Hindi Poetry by some stalwarts of Hindi Poetry. Today I begin by reciting a poem by India's National Poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, this poem is called "Krishna Ki Chetavani" which translates to "Krishna's Warning" and is based on an episode of the epic Mahabharata where Lord Krishna visits Hastinapur, the capital city of the kauravas, with a peace proposal so that the great war could be averted, but is eventually refuted by Prince Duryodhana's arrogance and adamant behaviour, so much so that he tries to capture the supreme personality of godhead himself in response to which the lord then decides to show Duryodhana what he is capable of and even predicting his and his kin's complete destruction. So let's embark on this new journey together and let's experience some great works of poetry in Hindi, beginning with this masterpiece itself!
