His curiosity in financial markets began with the severing of the US dollar from the gold standard in 1971 by Richard Nixon sparking a fascination with commodities markets. Benjamin has previously worked as a financial adviser, and currently works as a lawyer with four decades of experience in life insurance litigation he is considered one of the preeminent lawyers in his field.
