Sheryl is also an ambassador for Gems for Gems, a non-profit focused on ending the cycle of domestic abuse through the economic recovery and empowerment of survivors. In this episode, Sheryl and I discuss her lived experience as a birth mother and how her personal journey inspired her career path and advocacy work. We also highlight Hope's Cradle, a Gems for Gems program that offers safe infant surrender sites for women in need.
