Learn. Do. Inspire - Music is Powerful w/ Guest Speaker Quá Ambitions KAYLEAVES - Learn. Do. Inspire

    • Philosophy

In this episode, I've invited a very special guest: J-Quan to the show to discuss how impactful Music can be annnnd I'm excited to debut the Intro that Quá engineered for me!!
Here we discuss how Music should be a reflection of us, and capture our perspectives and outlooks as we explore & evolve more. In that, J'Quan and I touch on how music is driven by emotion through artists who play and compose Instruments, and how the story is told from doing so.
Bless those who create music and bring people of different backgrounds together. When you really think about it -- Music breaks barriers and is able to tell a tale through creativity and rhythm. There are also many genres that aid in the mood and mentalities of its' listeners... For example, romance invokes ideas and concepts centered around sensuality and love; jazz aids and invokes creativity and liberty. Rap shares the life experiences of its narrator and can inspire its' listeners to approach different challenges alternatively... All I'm trying to say is; Music is vast and encapsulates so much that I had to bring this topic to focus.
This was such a beautiful and DEEP conversation... and with Music being such a broad topic, I love that we could talk about many of the aspects that make up Music: Like the intentions and declarations in how our expressions are channeled.
J'Quan aka Quá Ambitions is a long-time friend who's so musically inclined and has been dropping songs since 2021 -- make sure to check out his Album Growth Over Company, and his newly released song, Background Reminders, and when I reached out to see if he could engineer the background audio for my show, I knew he'd be the perfect person to bring on because he's inspired me in so many ways!  This episode is a gem.
Quá Ambitions' top 3 Songs to Listen to:
1. My Bad
"That's one that I love. That's one of my best mixes to date."
2. Sidewalk Sentiments
"I love that one."
3. Basejump
"Deepest one / hardest one to listen to sometimes - not because of quality but because of content."
