Washington has Penix and Odunze go back-to-back in the top 10 of the NFL draft
The Washington Huskies saw their two best players, quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and wide receiver Rome Odunze selected inside the top 10 of the NFL Draft, with Penix going to the Atlanta Falcons at number 8 overall and Odunze landing with the Chicago Bears at number 9. As coach Jedd Fisch continues to sell the NFL to prospective recruits, the Huskies also saw left tackle Troy Fautanu get taken 20th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers, which could be a great sign for the future of the Washington football program.

The secondary steals the show at Washington's eleventh spring practice
Led by defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, the Washington Huskies are expected to have a very good secondary in 2024 led by Arizona transfer Ephesians Prysock, who had a stellar day during Wednesday's spring practice, along with true freshman safety Peyton Waters and sophomore safety Tristan Dunn. Jedd Fisch's offense also made some stellar plays, with quarterbacks Will Rogers and Demond Williams finding success with receivers Jeremiah Hunter, Denzel Boston, Jason Robinson Jr., and Rashid Williams, even though Washington's offensive line got some bad news from the transfer portal during practice when SMU offensive tackle Marcus Bryant committed to Missouri over UW.

Two transfers shine at Washington's tenth spring practice
The Washington Huskies held their tenth spring practice on Tuesday afternoon, headlined by impressive performances from Mississippi State transfer quarterback Will Rogers and California transfer wide receiver Jeremiah Hunter, who are both expected to be significant contributors in Jedd Fisch's offense. The offensive line still needs some assistance from the transfer portal as it was also a good day for pass rushers Jacob Lane and Lance Holtzclaw, but saw some signs of positivity on the horizon as offensive lineman Gaard Memmelaar continues to rehab from a knee injury he suffered before the start of last season.

Washington could have 5 first round picks in the NFL Draft
The Washington Huskies have two bonafide first-round picks in Thursday's NFL draft in wide receiver Rome Odunze and offensive tackle Troy Fautanu but could see as many as five players selected inside the top 32 with the rise of quarterback Michael Penix Jr., offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten, and wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk over the last few weeks. Coach Jedd Fisch has also been active in the transfer portal, earning a commitment from former Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Logan Sagapolu, but not as active as expected, as the coaching staff has only reeled in two commitments after promising reinforcements were coming, especially along the offensive line.

Washington holds a scrimmage for spring practice No. 9
The Washington Huskies held a scrimmage for their ninth spring practice and it was a great time for most players to showcase their skills, including quarterbacks Will Rogers and Demond Williams, wide receivers Denzel Boston, Jeremiah Hunter, and Keith Reynolds, edge rushers Lance Holtzclaw and Jacob Lane, and cornerback Jordan Shaw. However, head coach Jedd Fisch said after practice that edge rusher Zach Durfee will miss the next two months with an elbow injury he suffered last week, while cornerback Davon Banks announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Friday morning.
