“I’m female, my fat loss has stalled, I want to focus on muscle gain. How big should my surplus be for a bulking phase?”
I’ve received this questions in dozens of different forms over the last year. More so than ever before so I wanted to record a full podcast to ‘call out’ this erroneous trend. There’s a little hardcore physiology in here for the geeks too, see www.Martin-MacDonald.com/EP28 for the references.

Educational & Informative
Very Informative and relate to most of the stuff being said , great aggressive dieting podcast. practical, non biased, evidence based approach ... you make it sound so simple and easy .. gonna try 😀😀
Educational, introspective, and super inspirational!
I LOVE these podcasts, for more reasons than the ones listed in the title.
Martin not only speaks a lot about the nuances in nutrition, but the insights into dealing with clients/people on a daily basis, especially for someone like me who has just started becoming louder on social media, is just amazing! Can’t relate to people who don’t like these “tangents”, honestly they’re my favourite part.
To get so much insight from someone with all these years of experience is something every aspiring coach should look forward to.
I really hope more people start listening to you, the amount of value they can take home from these is just unparalleled.
