    Whoever visits Bangalore acknowledges the architectural beauty of Vidhana Soudha. Karnataka's second Chief Minister Kengal Hanumanthaiah was behind constructing the marvelous structure, hosting the Karnataka Legislature. The man, who contributed to Karnataka as Chief Minister as well as member of Union Cabinet had to live a lonely life towards the end. Worst was that his grandson was caught in a controversy that entire country talked about. Kengal Hanumanthaiah's grandson Suneel Sandeep was a very good student and Suneel's father was a top official of IOCL. However, his uncle had sown America dream into his head. Believing his uncle, Suneel left his engineering studies in half, fought with his father and went to Ameria. Contarary to his dream, Suneel's life took a different turn. When he returned to India, first he escaped police at Delhi Airport after they found a pistol in his baggage and then, he was charged with stealing multiple cars.     CASE 16 - Rasheed Murder case: A game changer in Karnataka politics | Paathaka Loka : A Kannada True Crime Podcast Trailer

    He was an ordinary lawyer from Kerala, who had come down to Bangalore to attend a case pertaining to Education Trust. He was representing one of the Trustees, who had removed the other Trusties. After few days, Rasheed, the lawyer was found dead near a Railway station in Salem, Tamil Nadu. This created a huge rift between Lawyers and Police in Bangalore. The controversy started surrounding the then Karnataka Home Minister R L Jalappa, who was backing the police. After a lot of strikes, struggle, the case was handed over to the CBI. The Bangalore polcie were arrested along with four rowdies in the murder case by CBI. Though Jalappa was one of the accused, he manged to get an anticipatory bail and avoided the arrest. Human Podium explores the murder of Abdul Rasheed in 80's, which rocked the Karnataka government and resulted in dismissal of at least six police personnel, including a DCP.
