Great Initiative...Keep it up!
Even today, we have only very limited online resources to understand and appreciate the Carnatic music system, it’s composers, and their works in a systematic manner. Most of the existing resources are either based on random YouTube uploads or video sessions on various aspects that lacks a streamlined direction (except the online course on Appreciating Carnatic Music by Lakshmi Sreeram). Podcasts are a great way of taking the appreciation of Carnatic music to the masses, especially because it doesn’t have the distractions of YouTube or any such visual mediums and the complexities of a written document. I was looking for a good podcast on Carnatic music for quiet sometime. I saw some, which were abandoned after few months or years, without achieving any end goal. I hope you will continue this initiative, and make this as a great online repository of the greatest compositions of Carnatic music. The podcast is well presented, and it’s a pleasure to listen. May the greatest composers of this marvellous music tradition give you the right mindset and motivation to continue your efforts for the years coming by. Best of luck.
