    Today we have a super fun episode! We’re going to be talking about how people from different generations view volunteerism, zoning in on Gen Z. Suzetta Cannon volunteered at her first three-day, 50 mile walk two weeks before she was born. That's because her mom, Teri Cannon, has been planning nonprofit fundraising events for three decades and Suzetta was born into volunteering.
    Teri Cannon has a wealth of experience with volunteers as she currently works as the Senior Major Gifts Officer for Children’s Hospital, she was previously the Executive Director for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and before that a VP with the National MS Society. Both women talk about how they see volunteerism differently, and the same.

Mississippi Park Connection provides opportunities for people to get to and on the river—and have a national park experience in the Twin Cities. How does the health of our environment impact the health of our extended community? Mississippi Park Connection strengthens the enduring connection between people and the Mississippi River by enriching the life of the river and the lives of all who experience our national park, the Mississippi National River, and Recreation Area. In partnership with the National Park Service, Mississippi Park Connection will ignite discovery and a lifelong relationship with the Mississippi River. Through youth education, environmental stewardship, and community engagement, we will mobilize residents and visitors, and serve as a model for operating a national park in an urban area where people are part of the landscape.
