    TEXT:
"Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow."
Sometimes it is just the absence of something that is missed the most. One does not even realize it would be missed until it goes away from you. The missed can range from anything to everything, tangible to non-tangible, humanity to materialism, nihilism to love, depression to happYness. Everything you miss is a factor of what you think, and it merely reflects your thought process and values. The mind is a dominant player, and we do need to fool it time and then again.
    .
When we start something new, or we try to move towards a "change", it always takes some time and efforts to overcome the phase of denial and self-doubt. And most of us, in most of the changes, give up at a very early stage and hence, all of us are not successful in our own eyes, kinda ever.
Once we move ahead of that phase, the real learning starts, and gradually, we realize we are not as bad as we thought we were. That feeling is the moment when you have successfully overcome/fooled your mind. Earlier the terms and thoughts like "you cannot do this", or "this is not meant for you", were being dictated by your mind and every "giving up" thought was so tempting and irresistible, that you almost gave up to it.
But since we are above that line as far as our real inner motivators take us, ending up with unsatisfactory jobs, businesses or life, is almost a well-accepted truth for MANY. But please tell me this: "Are we here to live an unsatisfactory life just because we are bound by some things??" Doesn't it define mental slavery to its core? Why do we bow to it? Think about it. Everyone has their reason, but those are reasons for not achieving what you didn't. Do not tell anyone any reason, tell them to yourself and solve them, work on them to reach the solution. Use all the resources that you can, don't be scared of judgmental people, they are useless, and give a shout out to close people.
Ideally, only and only when all of this is exhausted, and we do not find peace anywhere, we could move to external motivation. Realistically, since external motivation is easier to find and is readily available on our phones at any time of the day, we give it much more importance than what we should. Also, it might be a good idea to keep switching between internal and external motivators because again, we have to fool our mind, and it is not an easy task to do it. You might forget some of the things, but the mind remembers your deepest secrets and dearest times. It just chooses to let you store all of it as depicted in the Pixar movie "Inside Out" and sends you information according to its will.
    .
    .
Mantra #12: Giving up is the easiest thing to do. Anyone can give up on anything, anywhere. Literally. How about we do the difficult thing as a human and only give up with our last breath, maybe not even then!!!
    Peace.

    .

    Hate your problems?? HEAL YOURSELF

Before we dig right into it, I want you to take 10 seconds and answer this question: “What kind of person are you?” If you are actually that aware, why do you have problems??

The ability of objectively thinking is underrated. Not because we cannot do it, but because our mind fools us by clouding our thought process with emotions.

Those emotions and emotional judgements might or might not be accurate, but overthinking never helps.

We love to ponder hours and hours within our deep sea of problems. Sometimes we talk to someone about it, sometimes we don’t. People who do try opening up and find someone genuinely interested in hearing you out is pretty rare.

We also see problems more significant than solutions for no good reason. Who does not have problems? Believe me, when we do not have problems, our mind tends to create problems and then start procrastinating things that might never happen.

But what if we think only about the problem “statement” and start searching for solutions? And by experience, we all know; the issues are tackled best when we are not thinking about them. Or in other words, answers are most natural to find when we are not actively searching for them.

    Why does this happen?

Probably because we stress ourselves way too much to reach a solution and yet, again, forget the touch with reality altogether. We know it is not beneficial for us, we know we would end up wasting our time, still, time and again, we fall into the same trap. We keep on making some stupid scenarios in our head. We keep on wondering about the “What Ifs”.

Then what do we do? We change. We train ourselves to live.

    .

    .

You do your thing, and everything would fall into place. You want to play the piano because it feels good? DO IT. You wanna work on that non-perfect body of yours? GO FOR IT. The bottom line here is that you don’t just have to plan your moves and let life dance in whatever way it wants. MAKE YOUR MOVES, and you play your game.

Indulging is also a fruitful exercise. There is still a weird reluctance of meditation, and I understand it. But this is pretty simple and does not require any specific environment or things. Just be conscious of yourself, your surroundings and everything you are doing at hand. Easier said than done but indulge yourself in the present activity, whatever it is. May it be taking your dog to a stroll, running, taking a bath, having a meal, listening to a song or could be zillion other things. Loving, indulging and living in the present is a simple way of realizing there are better ways to spend your time instead of wondering what to do with the one limited precious gift we have: TIME! SPEND IT WISELY!!

Mantra #938: A simple, implementable thing to do here would be to do whatever the **** you want for some time because if you move one step in the correct direction, happYness moves 2 levels close to you.

    TEXT:

What would you do if you are offered with unlimited time? Probably, people listening to it during Corona time might have some experience dealing with this question.

    LOL.

The truth is that very few people know what would they do if they have excess time.

    .

If facing personal problems, it is usually challenging to understand what would a person do from any standard tests like SATs. Instead of judging a person by a piece of paper which merely tells you if the person is capable of solving problems created by someone, how about we hand over the power of unlimited time and then see how the person reacts?

    .

It is proven that if you stay in a closed environment just with yourself for more than 72 hours, your mental well-being starts to suffer. But, the “Why” part is still unanswered.

    .

I propose an explanation: We know “Man is a social animal”, that’s a saying, but it means “humans are social”. When we do not have someone to talk to, we end up talking to ourselves and instead of experimenting something new, end up pondering about things which are already inside our head.

We smile and double-tap these memes, which has people doing random stupid things at 3am. That’s almost the result of surrendering yourself to desires and not actually doing ANyTHING. You don’t believe me? Look closer: there is an actual category of “Me at 3am memes” everywhere. We would take the artificial dopamine release (things what apps like Instagram do to you before you even know it) as a topic in our future episode.

If the next line resonates with you or sounds familiar, I suggest trying out some of the simple LifeHacks mentioned at the end of this podcast.

Imagine this: you staying motionless and your mind wanders somewhere far, you don’t even fully understand “why” and the next thing you know, you have lost the only limited thing every human has: TIME. It could be next minute, day, hour or days. Then comes the fleeting feeling of regret and you tend to get on to your life in some time making all of your thinking null.

    .

    .

Really unfortunate, that the wasted time adds up. And all you end up doing is procrastination and over-thinking even more because now you are a failure in your own eyes too.

I interact with way too many people with mentally induced problems regularly and a lot of it (more than 90%) consists of the same problem: Thinking more and doing less which has a straightforward solution: “Thinking less and doing more”.

The moment you start doing this, you reach a point of inflection in your journey, which is usually for the greater good.

“You miss    100% of the shots you don’t take” – Wayne Gretzky.

Simple LifeHack to do for people feeling all of this:

Mantra #1761 – Try penning down your ideas and thoughts about everything or give your thoughts a tangible form. If you still find yourself lost in unhealthy thoughts, a soft pinch to yourself might serve as a reminder to “Think less and Do MORE.”

    .

    EVERYTHING IS RELATIVE

You get a raise, your salary becomes 1.3x now, you become happy and decide to t hrow a small party at your place where you get to know your friend sold her business today for USD 100k and has got Blue Label for the party. Within a minute, your happiness subsides, and you start dreaming again with the feeling of joy coming down with every step.

There is no end to wishes. No matter what you do, where you are and who you are; there would be some kind of wish you’d be wishing for. If you do not have any of the “wishes”, it is called achieving “Moksha”, and one of the most famous figures who got to this stage was Gautam Buddha(a.k.a Lord Buddha)

But are all the wishes evil???

I personally don’t think so. Wishes help you to move ahead and motivate you to do things that you otherwise might not. Desires help you take irrational decisions, whether in a good direction or bad, but what is good or bad anyway? Isn’t everything already relative??

Can you have a months food in a day and survive without any food the whole month?

You have to provide energy to your body every day, so it burns the heat inside, keeping you warm, which more or less means, alive.

Similarly, you might pass/score well in exams if you study “hard” at the 11th hour but would you remember most of it? Least likely situation. Similarly, if you don’t expand your knowledge/skill/mind every passing day, you’ll miss out on exponentially many things the next day. It’s like the Aston Kutcher movie, “the Butterfly effect” or a decision tree(whichever of these resonates more)

Example: you have 30 spare minutes, now you have an option of reading 3 chapters of a book today, or you could watch Netflix or TV instead for 1 hour. Let’s take both the scenarios:

If you choose to read a book      – If you read a book today, tomorrow you’ll know more things about the      subject, you would have more knowledge and opinion about something. Also,      on the next day, you start from chapter 4 and gain different understanding      and views over and above what you read in the previous 3 chapters.
If you choose to watch something, you will end up building some other knowledge base which you      can use in coming days, but, whenever in time you decide to read the book,      you have to start from those 3 chapters that you chose to skip for the      day.

Hence, if everything is relative, only YOU can add value in YOUR life by doing something(or ANYTHING) which is meaningful to YOU. That might be or might not be appreciated or respected by anyone around you, but if you see meaning in it. It is not hurting anyone in any manner, GO, DO IT FOR YOURSELF, you freaking deserve it!!

    TEXT:

    LIFEHACK_E1_ THE SYSTEM

    \

The self-sustaining demon which feeds on innocent. IT makes people think they are powerful, but at the end of the day, it is just the system which always wins. All of this, These corporates, “the system” as we know it, are just money-sucking machines that can go on and on for ages. They say, “There is no I in TEAM”, unfortunately, until we put “I” anywhere, we don’t get the kick to do any SHIT.

I went to Harvard. I own this house. I have this thing.

In reality, no one owns any darn thing on this planet. What the FUCK did you come here with that you are calling yours now, what makes you think you are the rightful owner of anything in this world.

    Hah!

Coming back to the system, I believe the soul objective for everything that we do in our “working hours” is to pay the bills and save enough for a decent life? This “decent” life is different for everyone. In reality, we just keep on changing its meaning every passing day, hoping we would achieve it one day. It is like the pursuit of Happyness, it is not the destination, it’s all about the journey.

But what we do in our journeys?

We do not talk to our loved ones, we don’t speak our hearts, we don’t liberate ourselves from mental slavery.

Why don’t we like the sense of an old fashioned-community and strive to help each other more and more with every passing second? But instead, we become more and more selfish, fantasizing about personal successes, dreaming about the good old personal achievements and believing in external things such as religion, karma or luck. Why do we do that?

We are bombarded with options, and with our ancestors working hard to put food and money on the table, we like to be identified as smart workers and human beings first, instead of being recognized as money-making machines or some kind of “collared” worker.

We tend to do it because we are gradually becoming cosy with the comforts around us.. Failing every day to realize what lies within us.

As a great philosopher indirectly said once, “The role of this capitalistic system is to keep us busy serving our materialistic needs and ignorant to the progression of humanity.”

Tell us who said it and get a chance to feature in our upcoming episodes.

We are actively searching for dreamers and people with smart perspectives.
