Figuring Fatherhood Feat Anirban Dasgupta - Simple Ken Podcast | EP 43
I have been a big admirer of Anirban's writing for a long time. It's a shame I haven't hung out with him as much as I want to. This episode I wanted to explore a topic we seldom talk about in this episode (And not seen in most other online conversations)...being a first time dad as a millennial. Obviously having a child is primarily a mothers journey but why not talk about the clueless man next to his partner watching and wondering what does a father do in 2024? This conversation was fun, lighthearted and also quite nerdy considering the detail we go into about performing stand up comedy across the globe.

Loving the guests you bring on and the quick flame rounds. My question is why do we need to be 18 years old to drive? I can drive pretty well but I'm 17.

So I have started to listen to this podcast very recently and it is nice to hear from a consciously aware millennial. I like how we don’t stick to one topic and bounce ideas with the guests. It is funny to see how Kenny’s point of view of the pandemic changed since the last year with initial response of flight mode and thinking everything is in shambles to now where he has done a show with 4 people in the same room. It is funny how easy it is for the human being to adapt to crises and maintain same level of sanity and happiness this is called a hedonic treadmill (ps. I am a jobless psychology major). Other than that I hear Kenny saying quiet alot why would someone listen to it rather than watch the video, for me I like auditory stimulation while working ir doing house hold chores it helps me to get in a state of flow. With video content I fell obligated to watch and maintain my attention for a longer while and it feels like a college lecture to me.
