Self-Inflicted Wounds
On this edition of the ArsenalVision Podcast, Elliot (@yankeegunner) is joined by Tim (@stillmanator) and Clive (@clivepafc) to discuss a very unsatisfying draw in the North London Derby. The conversation starts with a debate over the lineup and specifically the decision to move Jesus out wide in favor of Eddie through the middle in light of Trossard’s absence. The conversation moves on to Arsenal’s early dominance in the game and some missed opportunities, before attempting to dissect why the level of the performance dropped. There’s a focus on some individual performances that were surprisingly below par and whether the manager could have, and should have, reacted to them more quickly. Some big moments are analyzed including key errors that turned 3 points into 1. Finally, the group laments Arsenal’s injury situation and attempts to predict how Arsenal will cope in the short term. All that and more on this edition of the ArsenalVision Podcast.

It’s A Squad Game
On this edition of the ArsenalVision Podcast, Elliot (@yankeegunner) is joined by Tim (@stillmanator) and Clive (@clivepafc) to discuss a dominant but less-than-thrilling 1-0 victory at Goodison Park. The pod starts with the lineup surprises, especially with respect to the goalkeepers. Then there’s some debate about the domination Arsenal imposed and whether the attack is carrying enough threat. Some of the big moments and referee decisions are analyzed before some individual performances are discussed including Eddie, Vieira, Trossard and David Raya. There’s a bit on the subs and the significance of the win. There’s a chance to laugh at United of course. And finally there’s a look ahead to the return of Champions League football. All that and more on this edition of the ArsenalVision Podcast.

Customer Reviews
A must listen for the gooners
Always informative regarding arsenal. Even during our rough times on the pitch the podcast never fails to deliver. Always look forward to their opinion and have learned a lot about arsenal and football in general while following this pod.
Highly recommended Arsenal pod
If you’re looking for some erudite and nuanced discussions on all things Arsenal this is the place to be. I’ve been listening to these guys for around 5 years now and I can’t recollect listening to any episode and come away thinking that I’ve felt like my time has been wasted. Listening to Arsenal Vision is now a weekly ritual and something Indont see myself abandoning.
Typically, you have these 4 gentlemen on each episode- Elliott, Paul, Tim, and Clive and what makes this pod special is that all of them in their own unique way bring something different to the party. That way you don’t get the sense that things are being rehashed.
Clive is perhaps the most knowledgeable (I understand he does some football coaching on the sidelines), regarding tactics/game breakdowns, etc., although, admittedly he has a tendency to look at Arsenal with rose-tinted glasses, and can often get carried away with things that are good about the team. That said, listening to Clive, you always get the sense that you’ve learnt something new about the game, always. It really is very illuminating to listen to him.
Tim used to travel a lot with the Arsenal away fans and it used to be great to get his take on ground level conditions. A very articulate and polished speaker who tends not to pick sides. Perhaps the most balanced and impartial speaker on the pod.
Paul is the one with the controversial and non-conformist opinions and when he first blurts them out, you often think he’s a bit mad for suggesting them, but stick around, and you’d realise that that there’s a great intelligence and thought behind what he says; not one for taking a short-term view on things. Love his banter with Elliott the host, and very rarely will you find these two on the same page.
Elliott is the host of the pod and clearly the funniest and most sarcastic out of the lot. His introductions are almost always hilarious and he’s remarkably fluent in his speech. I find that his opinions tend to sway quite often and are rarely set in stone, but at the end of the day it’s an essential quality for a host to have. Never afraid to ask the tough, uncomfortable questions.
All in all you bring these four different personalities into a room and you get deep, engaging debates on all the ills and joys of Arsenal. Can’t recommend this pod highly enough.
