Arranged Marriages-Important conversation
Ever since the Netflix show aired it became urgent to have a conversation and address the idea of arranged marriages. Sabreen allows her very human space to stories that make us who we are, and things we've been overlooking. She is curious, understanding, asks right questions and is herself a brilliant story teller. Definitely recommended for anyone making up their mind about the idea of marriage. Sabreen and I have given both sides of views here, and we hope it can become the survival guide for somebody looking for it. Wishing Sabreen all the best for all her future conversations especially on the Indian Matchmaking!!!
A memorable experience recording an episode with Sabreen!
Sabreen and I recorded an episode for her podcast- The Lavender Fix. Without sounding like an absolute cliche, I must say that it was truly one of the best decisions I’ve taken over the past few months. Somewhere within, I knew I had a story to share but didn’t trust my instincts. It was Sabreen who insisted that I must share my story with everyone and gave me the courage to speak up. Unlike some other interviews I did around my story, this one was different. Sabreen heard me out, asked tons of questions and really stood out as an empathetic podcaster. The flow of the episode was thoroughly researched and at no point she made me feel like I must say something that I may not want to. She was a delight to work with and one of the best podcast hosts I’ve come across. Recording a 1 hour episode felt like an absolute breeze especially cause as a host, she moderated the conversation in a way that really brought forth the entire picture!
Thank you for letting my story with the world Sabreen. You have empathy, courage and a heart of gold. I would love to records tons of podcasts with you in the future!
