Season 14, Episode 139 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday episode, Alex Kozora and I start it off by going over the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers and that includes us discussing the newest tight end signed to the roster as well as the team's newest addition to the scouting department.
We discuss the perceived usage of the Steelers' tight ends in 2024 and what kind of seasons that could mean for both Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington. We spend a lot of time talking about stat predictions for Washington in 2024 and areas of his game he needs to improve in.
With the Steelers having completed their second week of OTA practices for 2024, Alex and I go over the biggest takeaways from those sessions to this point. Will the Steelers running backs be used more in the passing game in 2024 and is there a chance they could wind up with two 1,000-yard rushers as well? We address those questions during this show.
There has been more movement when it comes to the wide receiver market this past week, so Alex and I discuss that topic. We go over the latest speculation concerning Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton as part of that. We also talk about what the market price might look like for Steelers WR George Pickens a year from now and if the organization would really consider making him their highest paid player on the team by the start of the 2025 regular season.
A little bit of kickoff strategy is discussed during this show as it relates to the new rules. We also talk about the latest development when it comes to Steelers rookie OC Zach Frazier as it relates to his contract that he'll ultimately sign.

On this episode of The Depot Dive, Ross McCorkle and Joe Clark lead off the show with a discussion on an NFLPA proposal to adjust the offseason schedule and move OTAs close to training camp, leaving a lull in the NFL offseason schedule. We offer our opinions and whether we think it ultimately gets passed and what the NFL could be looking for in return.
We then move into our first listed topic with a possible Juju Smith-Schuster return being a talking point throughout the last week. We discuss if we think it would be a needle mover for the Steelers and ultimately decide they should not bring him back.
For the second topic we discuss the running backs getting more involved in the passing game under OC Arthur Smith and how Jaylen Warren could benefit from that greatly. We also talk about some comments made by Harry Douglas saying the Steelers could have a top-five rushing offense and whether we think that will come to pass.
For the final topic, we talk about the team bonding between the quarterbacks and the offensive line with a recent dinner at The Capital Grille and why that could be a huge positive for the Steelers after leadership issues in 2023.
We wrap up the show with a listener question where we were asked to provide our "hot take" for the 2024 season.

We start by going over the latest news to come out of the second week of OTA practices and that includes recapping a few player quotes. We also discuss the talk about the NFL potentially shifting the offseason schedule as soon as 2025.
Steelers QB Justin Fields set the record straight on Tuesday when it comes to him maybe returning a few kickoffs in 2024 so we have a little fun with that topic and the new kickoff rules.
Alex and I then somehow get into a longer conversation about several second-year players on the Steelers' roster and the expectations of each. That talk centers around OT Broderick Jones, CB Joey Porter Jr., DT Keeanu Benton, TE Darnell Washington, and OLB Nick Herbig, mainly.
There is some updated information on Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton to talk about in this show that revolves around the kind of raise he's reportedly looking for. June 1 is quickly approaching so we wonder if Sutton might be dealt in the next few weeks and if that happens, we wonder if the Steelers should be considered the favorites to land him.
