The VDH Rant would be a better name for this podcast
VDH rants. Mostly against the US left wing, which is different from left wingers in other countries.
His tangents on military history, and classical history are usually interesting but his knowledge of international events is quite frankly not as good as he or his cohosts seem to think it is. And one of his cohosts is quite annoying, constantly praising VDH for his knowledge and insights.
One particularly egregious annoyance is VDH's well hidden bias against China and India, especially when it comes to pollution and GDP.
For an academic, he doesn't seem to understand raw pollution numbers and per capita pollution numbers, especially for India.
He almost always calls China and India the worst polluters, glossing over the US' impact on global numbers.
Also one has to listen to the podcast at least 2x, because he speaks in slow motion.
