This Is Not What I Meant Anudeep
-
- TV & Film
Hey! This is Anudeep and I write reviews and I like to talk about it. That's pretty much it. Reading is nice, and discussing plot lines even better. All the work of arts draw inspiration from somewhere and citing these references along with breaking down the story, "This is Not what I meant" represents all that is said in the subtext.

The Boys: What was that? ft. Anmol
Amazon Prime video's The Boys is the unconventional superhero show you've been waiting for. In this episode, Anudeep and Anmol spill the tea about how they started watching the show (at what point we went OMG this is why I'm gonna watch the rest of it!) and their favourite characters (you'd be surprised who it is!) the writing (feels like a 3 season long movie!) and the fantastic VFX (not for weak stomachs!).
From the cursing to the gore, to the explicit scenes that warrant this NC-17 rating, the Boys are all about the truth of being a superhero and the side no one talks about. Spoiler warning for Seasons 1, 2, and 3 and the audio quality of the host dips at the 30-minute mark but couldn't miss posting this.
*Drumroll* This is not what I meant is back from Hiatus!

Suits: Formula For the Win! Ft. Samir
Mike Ross has never been to law school but he gets a job as a...lawyer. That's it. That's the plot. And still USA Network's show, Suits ran for 9 Seasons!
In this episode we talk about how Aaron Korsh (the creator of the show) managed to make corporate law interesting to the viewers, along with our first impressions of the show. Listen as we discuss the plot, the writing, character development and the role of cameos in this New York based Law drama. We also answer some questions such as:
- Why Law firms are named after their partners?
- Extra-ordinary recreational activities of rich people
- Could Mike Ross have found another way to get the money in the first episode?
- Are stereotypes and discrimination forgivable based on the time period of a show?
- Goddamn Censorship! (PG-13 Adult shows)
- Why can't some brilliant people recognise their true potential?

Inventing Anna: The Power of Illusion of Wealth
Anna Delvey is the real "Fake it till you make it" deal, scamming half of the New York's elitist and making her way through her unapproachable charm and critiqing charisma. This Shondaland production is the show to binge on for a spicy tale of how the rich just want clout and exclusivity, so much so that tshe scammed this whole club with fumes of an illusion of wealth. Fame & Connections is what Anna offers in exchange for... well Chanel, Dior, Hotels and a lifestyle of a German Heiress.
Well Anna may not have time for this (What's up show reference!) but you sure do, so listen to the episode and let's break down the illusion.

The Tinder Swindler - Navigating Dating & Trust ft. Anmol
Netflix's latest - The Tinder Swindler talks about Simon Leviev, the son of a diamond mogul (NOT!) conning women by matching with them on the popular dating app Tinder. What follows is a con filled with private jets, caviar, luxurious gifts turning into a money leaching relationship. Discussing the case of these three women, Anmol and I talk about what to do when you find yourself in such a situation where you can't think clearly. Stay tuned as we discuss the disparities between the culture of dating in India and in Europe and our reactions to this very interesting documentary.
Just take a minute and think - How exposed are you online, my listener?
PS. Write to me about what did you think about the documentary and what would you do with a guy like Simon, at tinwimpod@gmail.com
