“Trunks N Wheels” is Chimes Radio’s unique offering focussed on introducing the various cultural elements of India to our young listeners. And we achieve this by hopping on to a journey that takes us across different States and Union territories of our vast and culturally rich country. We introduce our audience from an early age to nuances of living in a diverse country like India and start to appreciate that while we all come from different regions and enjoy our own heritage, we are all united by a common thread of being Indian and must respect each other’s traditions, beliefs and lifestyles to live in harmony.

In each series, we pick up a specific theme e.g. folk dances, regional foods, famous personalities etc. and talk about a region of India.
• North India - We cover the states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
• South India – We talk about the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhara Pradesh and Telangana.
• East India – We travel through the states of Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and West Bengal.
• West India – We cross the boundaries of the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
• North Eastern Indian – We drive through the scenic states of Sikkim, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
• Union Territories - We visit the special status UTs of India like Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshwadeep, followed by the newly formed UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Each episode will give you a sneak peek into a specific cultural element of one of these regions which we hope will tickle your curiosity to find out more and in depth about your area of interest or maybe plan a visit to see these in reality.

Kalpeni Islands (Lakshadweep Islands)
In this new theme, we travel across the states of India and discuss one historical place of significance in that state. Kalpeni Islands are a group of three islands, two inhabited and one uninhabited. This atoll is surrounded by a beautiful lagoon where a lot of water activities are done. This is a most visited tourist destination in Lakshadweep.

Howrah Bridge (Andaman and Nicobar islands)
In this new theme, we travel across the states of India and discuss one historical place of significance in that state. Do you think Howrah Bridge is only in Kolkata, you might have to think again. White Town (Pondicherry)
In this new theme, we travel across the states of India and discuss one historical place of significance in that state. In a South Indian Union Territory is the White Town. A secluded section in Pondicherry where French settles after they came here. Architecture, Eateries, Cafes, all these things makes one feels that they are standing in a French Town.

In this new theme, we travel across the states of India and discuss one historical place of significance in that state. In Delhi, a perfect place to visit is the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Rajpath. This place has Mughal Gardens and a museum apart from other attractions for visitors.
