Of course, I had to start off with the one and only Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! A native to the Bronx, AOC now represents portions of her home borough as well as a part of Queens in the United States House of Representatives. She's overcome some serious challenges to get where she is today, and AOC is currently a figurehead of the Progressive movement in American politics.
