Eggert Jóhannesson ,

A must follow show

I'm quite new to podcasts in general but have been binge listening to CodingBlocks from the beginning recently. Up to episode 44 by now and to describe it let's put it into Alan's words, "That's Awesome!!!".

It is a great show, when they actually talk about programming concepts it is usually well thought out and prepared. Naturally not everything is correct, that is literally impossible, but they do great in explaining the concepts clearly. I say when they talk about programming and that is because some of the shows turn into random ramblings of various topics which may put some people off but to me those are often the best parts, not least because they are having so much fun that you can't avoid at the very least getting a little grin on your face, that is no little improvement on the commute home from work.

People tend to usually recommend listening to podcasts on higher than normal speed, and the hosts frequently suggest that too. But I wholehartedly disagree on that for Coding Blocks, I'd rather listen in slow motion so I can savour the feeling.

The timing of this review is not a coincidence, I hope they are still listing all the reviewers names in each episode, then I can get a mention in episode 100 :) To aid Outlaw in reading my name, here is an approximation of the pronounciation in IPA: ɛkɛrd̥ jɔ̥hannɛssɔn

Thanks guys for a fantastic podcast. Keep up the good work.
