In today's episode, I am speaking to Kalkidan founder of Sancho's the Home of Sustainable Fashion, located in Exeter, UK. They found their inspiration for Sancho’s Shop through traveling to developing countries such as Ethiopia where they saw, first-hand, the effects of the fast fashion industry. The low wages, mass dumping, social disruption, and environmental destruction affected them to their core. Sancho's believes that fashion should be built to last, in fair trade conditions with organic, recycled, and regenerative materials. They are passionate about Independent and Black-owned brands who are creating beautiful fashion & accessories whilst making a difference. Through activism and spreading awareness, they are working towards a kinder world. We discuss the importance of ethical fashion, black lives matter, and the small steps we can make to change the world. I hope you all enjoy it! :)
