AIA Georgia and AIA Atlanta joined forces to host a special forum and breakfast with the candidates from Georgia’s Secretary of State race—an election that will profoundly affect the architecture profession.

The Georgia Primary on May 22, resulted in former U.S. Congressman John Barrow securing the Democratic nomination, while Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle (Alpharetta) and State Representative Brad Raffensberger (Johns Creek) will have a runoff on July 24, for the Republican nomination. All made themselves available for the forum on June 28th.

This year's panel was moderated by Creative Loafing editor Thomas Wheatley, with the panel featuring prominent local leaders including Tim Keane, Mary Norwood, Dawn Luke and Egbert Perry.
